He gets Ryan Ellis 5yrs @ 2.5
Mattais Ekhom 7yrs @ 3.75

This contract blows my mind. Saros is one of the next best kept secrets to break out. Rinne has one year left and they will have a steal of a deal for seasons 2 and 3... id even say a steal of a deal this season as a backup. Bank on Saros being in the top 12 for Save percentage. He's a lot better than people may think.

Poile probably beats down their confidence and then gets them to sign these deals ! jk. He's just a great foreseer of potential that others don't see. Probably his scouts more so. He better keep those scouts around !

Agreed! I saw the AAV and immediately thought it was a one year deal where Saros was betting on having a great year to drive up price. To get him for three! WOW!

Wouldn't that be one of the smallest bargains? He's 5'11" replacing a guy who is 6'5". Lol.

Good deal. Surprised at term. A one or two year deal makes sense because after this season, he is likely the guy. He will now have two years of being the league's least paid starter, and then will get paid.
