NYR doesn't have much to interest MN for their best (maybe only) center prospect. Zibby is the player from the NYR that fits the Wild's team needs, but that trade isn't going to happen.

he's the only one capable of filling the 1C role in the organization, so unless NYR win big time on futures he's untouchable IMO

NYR have pretty much anything to offer. proven wingers, centers, versatile centers/wingers, young LHD prospects, picks, taking on cap dumps. trades don't always have to include the other teams best player like some people always seems to think

NYR's d-corps doesn't interest me. Their prospect pool (not counting the just happened draft), isn't enticing. They are already way too LHS FWD heavy in both the AHL/NHL. A top-6 RHS center is the team's biggest need, followed by centers in general, and then RW's. These are the needs currently and looking into the short term future.

I'm not saying NYR doesn't have some nice players, they just aren't good fits for what the Wild are giving up. JEE is the one center the Wild currently have that might become a top-6 center.
