Craziest idea ever. Who says no? (Thoughts VAN fans?)

Description
Why I think this trade makes too much sense

DAL needs help at forward and VAN needs help and D. Both players are going to be NHL ready next year and this helps both teams immediately

Value wise is fair for sure. But given that VAN just took Hughes, I think they would rather keep Pettersson

Fair enough. Thanks for the response! Defense wins championships tho and having Hughes Heiskanen and Juolevi on your D for the next 10 years would be deadly

This is similar to the CBJ - NSH swap that benefited both teams. The problem is Dallas is also kinda thin at D, that's not a great looking 7. Dallas is also fairly weak down the middle, and should probably address the first. Comeau at 2 LW is better than Spezza or Faksa at 2C

I think both teams GMs would be shaking for years if they made that trade. Forever the two players will be compared and if one is significantly better than the other,,,,so one team is going to look like a big loser in the trade.
Not saying the trade isn't fair but I doubt if anyone would make the trade, well except on CapFriendly.

this is one of those rare trades where both teams lose
