Marleau contract is an eye sore. My guess is he's gone as soon as possible. No room for a 38 year old winger on a huge contract. They will dump him to a team in rebuild mode for a 1st or 2nd round pick, depending when he's moved. That clears a nice chuck of cap space on this team. I'm surprised they haven't done it already.

Thats funny. Dermott is arguably already a top-4 dman, and Gardiner is a lowend top pair dman. I understand that you're a habs fan and so it may be hard to recognize talent.

I think if Zaitsev can return to form, and Dermott fills out his role in the top-4, this defense will surprise many people.
