Description

If Nashville can't come to terms with Ellis. Flyers get a top pairing defenseman in his prime, forward depth, and cap savings. Preds upgrade 2nd line RW with size & toughness. If Hagg can play on the right side, Josi can shelter/mentor him.

What about Toronto? What would you say about Zaitsev (positional replacement, great partner for Josi), 2nd in 2019 (or 1st maybe) and F prospect (Bracco or Marchment or etc..)?

Preds are win now mode. While that's a nice package of assets from Toronto, those futures don't help Nashville this season like Simmonds does.

i dont mind this trade but hesitant on trading hagg. is solomaki any good i havent seen him play enough. also play hagg on ld and josi on right no?

As a Preds fan, not interested in Simmonds. I think it would take a young winger on a good contract with term to move Ellis. We would at least wait to see if we are going to make a push and deal him at the deadline. Mostly likely a deal will get done though. He is a huge part of our leadership group and I don't think his contract ask is unreasonable.

Hagg played the right side when paired with Ghost so him w/ Josi like he has set up would work.
