Not sure if Pens want the cap hit of Perrault next year....but that's why you made the trade. Yep Perrault and maybe Little should be traded for cap space in 2019/20 and you made a fair trade to get the ball rolling.

Pens would probably want a better winger than Perreault for Brassard if they did this. I can't see anyone the Jets giving up anyone better to make this deal work.

Agree with the above comments.

That Morrisey deal is immensely steep though. Might as well work on a 3-year deal for him to keep a bit more space over that same period.

Maybe he wasn't too serious about the Morrissey deal? I can't see him signing 8 years either.

the trade is mostly for cap space for 2019. my thought is the jets would give up something better if necessary.

Pens are in win-now mode and are already close to the cap ceiling. They aren't really in a position to make this deal

The Pens didn't give up what they did for Brassard just to flip him for a player like Perreault. Value is just a bit off and Pens wouldn't do this deal...

Absolutely no reason for the Pens to do this deal. Brassard is a valuable third line center. Maybe if he isn't playing well by the deadline, they would trade him. Perreault and a pick isn't enough for Brassard and a pick. Pens needs left wingers. Perreault just takes up a roster spot.
