THAT is not even close to enough. But okey. You need to start with the player named Seth Jones and Toronto would give you something along with Nylander I dont know what. He has better numbers than Kucherov in his first 3 season and if he is star of the team he could possibly be as good as Kucherov is in one or two years. Yes, Nylander is that good! Nylander plus young D (Borgman for example) for Jones?

Nylander is not even in Jones league. Now as far as the trade it is not close. There would need to be better prospects going back to Toronto.

Nylander is insanely talented top tier forward who can be either C or RW and has talent to be Kucherov kinda producer and player. Just watch next season.. Jones is also insanely talented D. Top tier defender who can win many Norris Trophys. If Jones kind of defender is not involved in the trade Leafs would keep Nylander. He is that good trust me.. but if I was CBJ I wouldnt trade Jones anyway soo its not realistic. There could be argument about it but both of those players are hell of a talents and both are going to have insanely great careers.

Nylander to Columbus. Never thought of that connection. In the trade posted.....the Leafs don't need Korpisalo. Maybe CBJ should keep Korpisalo if Bob leaves as a UFA.
If the Leafs like Savard enough to give them three years of solid Dman play....that's a great fit for the Leafs. Leafs would like/need a RWer to fill Nylander spot....Josh Anderson.
Nylander for Savard, Anderson and 1918. 1st rounder Liam Fordy

No one trades Norris capable defenseman for wingers. Didn't Jones and Nylander have the same amount of points last year?

No. Nylander got more just a bit. But Nylander is capable of being no1 C too not just the winger. He proved that last year when Matthews was injured..

I agree that you should try to trade Nylander for an elite defender with a similar age, but Jones is just so much better than Nylander that I don't think there's a deal there.

Nylander has capability of having productivity of Kucherov. But of course Jones is better than him. I prefer not to trade Nylander if there is not a good hockey deal in place.

lol. No way you trade Nylander for just Jones. Nylander had a cup of coffee as a C. Jones is an elite D-man with Norris upside. Nylander would have to put up 90 points to make it worth it to trade Jones. Leaf fans always over valuing there players smh.

I would add: No one trades a PROVEN Norris capable defenseman on one of the BEST contract in the league. Especially for Nylander lol

    Anderson, Savard and a 1st.
Anderson will top 20 this year, a show me year on his next contract,
Savard eats a lot of key minutes onvthe right side (and is still fairly young and very durable), and
1st would probably be a late teen to early 20’s pick.

I dislike the Nylander trade heavily from Toronto's standpoint, but nobody seems to be talking about the Dubinsky trade, so I will. Dubinsky is a cap dump, 2 average prospects and a pick lower than the one we are trading away are not enough to convince us to take Dubinsky.
