Good deal for SJS. He's a good 3rd liner who can add some scoring.

I like it. As a Sharks fan, I was hoping for something in this neighborhood. He has grown significantly over the last couple of years, and I expect him to get better with more responsibility.

He is one of the best 3rd line centers in the league, and could be the #2 if Thornton struggles this year coming off knee surgery. He looked real good with Pavelski and Kane, and I think that could be an effective trio again this year.

I don't know if he is going to be a whole lot higher than the 40 points last year. Maybe somewhere in the neighborhood of 20 goals and 45 points is a good expectation, and that is a solid contract for roughly 40 points a season. I mean, Hertl got double that for basically similar offensive output..

I was hoping for 2.5m and 3 years, but this is fine with me.
