I think they can get a touch more for Nyquist than a 2nd and 4th. Probably closer to (2) 2nds, or a conditional 1st (based on getting deeper in the playoffs) and a 3rd.

If Z retires, expect DETs Cs to be Larkin, Nielsen, Helm, and Glendening (in that order). I doubt we see Ras lineup for a regular shift at C this year.

No way. Marcus Johansson went for a 2 and 3 with 2 years of term left. Plus Nyquist has a full NTC so he would have to waive for any team, and that lowers a players value pretty substantially. I think if DET got a 2nd they should be happy

I think the 2nd and 4th is probably around what Detroit will get for Nyquist, but I would hope that they could make one of those a conditional pick based on how well either Nyquist or Dallas do.


Rasmussen will start on the wing for the year like Larkin did his first year.

This is a hypothetical situation if Zetterberg LTIR retires, but I'm not sold on the rumors that he won't play this year. I can definitely see him not playing the 2019-20 season, but I think this year will ultimately be his last.
