Wouldn’t it be better for him to play center? That’s good center depth

Why? Ratcliffe is 6'6, skates well, and has good hands. They're going to send him down to bulk up? To dominate younger and smaller opponents? He may very well be ready now.

Rubtsov is no longer junior eligible. His career path at this point is as a possible 4th line center. He has the tools and size necessary to do that job.

Frost has to bulk up and they have higher projections for him than 4th line center. So unless Frost can win the 3rd line center job depending on how the team decides to fill it, he's going back to junior.

Depends what young players impress during camp and they use their lineup flexibility to fit the best players in. If Ratcliffe wins the job the lineup looks like above. If Frost wins then Giroux stays on the wing and the lineup looks like the armchair posting for that scenario.

Isaac Ratcliffe is still really unpolished. German Rubstov is still in need of some tune-up in the AHL. Guys like Mikhail Yorobyov, Mike Vecchione, and Wade Allison are all more "NHL-ready"

Not entirely sure on why we are giving Robert Hagg over $2M. He hasn't done anything spectacular to earn anything over $1.75M, if that. Also not sure why you entertained the idea that Giroux should "move back" to center, considering that he already has great chemistry with Sean Couturier and this would result in Nolan Patrick playing third line minutes.

Giroux is not moving back to center after the season he just had on the wing. You guys need to not listen to that idiotic article by John Bourk that suggested it.

Who listened to John Boruk?

If young wings are ready to make the jump this is an option rather than forcing a center to play a role they can't handle.
