We’re REBUILDING. If we wanted to trade for panarin we would’ve done it before acquiring all the youth and skill we have. These ranger fans trading for Karlsson and panarin and all these players in their prime are so annoying. WERE GONNA BE **** FOR 2 YEARS DEAL W IT LMAO

I like what the Rangers are building. Kravtsov has a high ceiling and Miller and Lundkvist are fantastic prospects on D.

I guess people just can't resist getting involved in the hype. Panarin is a great player, and if he were somehow signed for a fair contract next year...awesome! This is just a hypothetical thing, and people are passing the boring summer months coming up with ideas, but I totally agree about forgetting this trade stuff.

Until the Rangers D prospects are with the big team and making their projected impacts, this team is NOT going to be real good... for a while! The forward group may be surprising this year, but their still going to give up a lot of goals until the D catches up. Once that happens, we can start talking about trades (unless they facilitate the rebuild).

Totally agree. Have to stick to the rebuild. If we trade any of our new prospects for panarin we might as well have just continued sathers terrible trend of trading our 1st for players. Only way I'm for a panarin trade is if we give them a lowball offer centered around Hayes (like Hayes and a mediocre prospect or two). Only reason I'm ok with that is bc first I'm afraid of overpaying Hayes on a new deal and also we have too many center on the roster and I'm afraid of them moving chytil or Anderson to wing and stunting their growth

Same dudes were like “Jagr?” “Who’s this Lundqwuest guy?” Play Montoya and Jason Ward!!

If you have a chance to get elite talent, entering the prime of his career, you do it.

This team has a chance to develop into something good. Add a top 5 winger or top 5 dman and you are setting up to be a perennial contender as opposed to a bubble team.

LOL seriously? The Rangers got Jagr for Anson Carter! LOL That is a terrible example, I'll give two Anson Carters for Panarin!

And who the hell said play Montoya over Hank?!? LOL Find me one post that ever said that! Hank was on fire from the day he got here, he was clearly solid gold from day one. Not sure where you got that from...

This is simple logic..."IF" the Rangers were to complete a successful trade for Panarin, it would be after he agreed to sign, right? So if he has interest in playing here, why not wait until he can be had for only money!? The Rangers do have a chance to set up to be something good, but a "chance" isn't a guarantee. When that chance starts bearing fruit is when you make the move for final pieces...not before! And giving the fruit away before it ripens is taking that "chance" away, isn't it? It can't work both ways.

The rebuild is not 5-15 goals away from contention, so what is the point?!? For me as a fan..it's cup or nothing, playing in the middle is what got the Rangers here. There will always be an expensive piece to add to the team when your in contention later, it happens every year across the league.

I am all for getting Panarin, but for money or pieces that are not part of the future plans (Hayes, Names, Spooner, DeAngelo..etc)...anything else is just short sighted...and we've already been down that road 100 times. Time for some new scenery!
