MTL says no. They like Danault and Lindgren. Lindgren could likely command a better return on his own if the Habs hold him and he continues to progress. Danault is there to bridge the C gap hoping for a transition over to the Kotkaniemi/Poehling/Evans phase.

MTL has sneaky good Center depth now. A few years away, but good line up nice for them

Chicago fan made this trade suggestion, not Habs.

I would counter you

Patches+Lindgren for Schmaltz+2019 1st

If it helps, we can take a small cap dump or retain 50% of Patches salary for 2019.

Yet to think Chicago already had Danault who was starting to play well for them and certainly could have signed Gagner for the presumably the same as what Columbus did. Oh well, beating a dead horse, I know...

Its gonna take more to get Shmaltz. Hes an up an coming player in the NHL definitely with the potential to be much more than pacioretty ever has been.If Shmaltz has to be in the deal My counter is this:

Shmaltz, Anisamov, Murphy, 2019 2nd, 2020 4th for Pattioretty (with extension in place), Danault, Lindgren
