      I probably wouldn't do it if I'm Ottawa, but I also doubt Minnesota would add much more to the deal.

      If they are letting Dumba go because of cap issues I don't see how taking Stone back in trade helps them. We could probably get Dumba away from them with a combo like Batherson and Ceci.

      Wild fan here, Batherson seems decent but getting him is still a risk because he hasn't proven anything at the NHL level yet. If he busts, we're looking at Dumba for Ceci which would be a bad trade. Because of that, I think it would take more than Ceci and Batherson to move Dumba... We have plenty of space to re-sign Dumba (we have $13M for both Dumba and Zucker, our beat writer has said a million times that together they'll be around $10M and he has access to both of their agents so I'd say that's a reliable number). Trading Dumba would mean we'd have to be getting a deal-breaker type young stud forward coming back (like Nylander or Stone in this case).

      This trade seems pretty fair to me, but I'm not sure either team would actually make it. Interesting thought though smile
