Description

Trade Nyquist and AA in the summer, keep Ras and Zadina in the minors/junior. Let the old guys play it out
Get another top 5 draft talent, and then try to go big next year. If EK isn't signed, offer him McDavid money, resign Howard, and hope all the D prospects pan out. With Zadina, Ras, and whoever we draft ready to play, the Wings would have a young, cheap and skilled forward group
Even if Z LTIRetires, lines could be:
Zadina-Larkin-Mantha
Svechnikov-Rasmussen-Kappo Kakko (or other draft pick)
Bertuzzi-Veleno-Berggren (this line is doubtful to be ready)

"REALLY bad" to me is bottom 5 in the league. I think if they tried to put their best lineup out there they wouldn't finish in the bottom 10. But that is all yet to be seen
