Well then you don’t get Trouba. You have to give to get. Learn that before building a championship team.

Agreed it would have to be a high caliber D pairing guy plus Borgstrom plus picks for Trouba. And that’s a key. This is just a massive underpayment.

That’s fine, Panthers don’t “need” Trouba

Trouba is either coming home to Detroit or possibly going to Florida those are his likely 2 destinations. With Detroit being the front runner.

Detroit can't even afford Larkin.....How can they get Trouba...cuz the Jets won't take salary dumps...unless the Jets get Larkin

Dude Detroit can to afford Larkin, Just because he's not signed yet. Means nothing and Detroit can easily afford Trouba in 2020 Detroit will have tons of space by 2020 and would easily give Trouba his $7 million per asking price. Detroit's not dealing Larkin for Trouba period. Trouba with this one year arbitrary deal has pretty much let it be known that he's heading to UFA in 2020. We can sign him for free then.

At this point, it'll be a sweepstakes for Trouba, and I don't think you'd get away with this sort of a steal for him. Maybe Borgstrom, a first, and another good prospect, if not an impact player

Well, they already have Myers and Byfuglien. Pysyk would be perfect for their third pairing. No, he is not Trouba. But he is still a solid puck-moving defensman with a very attractive cap hit.
And everybody forgets about Nic Petan. And maybe Trouba's value goes down because he is not that good of a teammate. Borgstrom is also a stud. So, not that bad of a trade for Winnipeg
