How could you possibly know that? In a player elected arbitration the term is decided by the organization, he's never had a say on term thus far.

laugh So $5.75 million for Trouba, So he signs for $250,000 more then what he's making now to play for Toronto. When he doesn't want to play in Canada get real. Trouba is looking for any thing around $7 million to $8 million per no way he accepts that garbage offer from a team he grew up despising as a child.

LMFAO Gardiner for one year for two years of Trouba. If you want to extend Trouba you're looking at Nylander not Gardiner. Not hard to figure out and besides Trouba wants to play in the States not Canada. Rumor has it that he wants to be near his fiancee and home in Fort Lauderdale. So he probably has interest in playing for the Panthers.

Why does it HAVE to be Nylander?

how can you not know? everything trouba has done contractually shows that he wants to a ufa asap. after elc he took less money and took the somewhat imposed bridge deal. sure the jets wanted to sign long term with summer but no trouba elects arbitration. . to think the leafs are going to allow to negotiate with trouba and gardiner negotiates jets so far fetched.

Man reminiscing on when Larkinisking was screaming this from mountain tops 2 years ago. I swear this must be Trouba's burner account. Trouba will go where he is traded, and I would imagine he would sign anywhere if the team offered the money he feels he deserves (8yrs x 7.5 million).

Offer isn't good. Trouba would be fantastic but it would cost a lot more than Gardiner due to age, handiness, and contract situation.
