With Carolina involved, it's confusing having 'Sebastian Aho' lol.

Anyway, you don't actually think this is close to happening, do you?

In reality? No of course not. But in terms of value? Makes sense in my mind.

I saw this at first glance and thought............

this guy is ********, Carolina is not giving up AHO!!!!!!!!! then i looked closer

in terms of value it seems good, but as a CAR fan i pass because we want Draisaitl on our team

It would be great for them to be on the ice at the same time. Skinner alone doesn't get you Draisaitl though

We’d be willing to pay much more. The most unrealistic thing...Skinner waiving NMC for either of these teams.

Bailey, Skinner and Wilde for Draisaitl and Caggiula just doesn't make sense to me. I get that Bailey has really broken out these past two years and is signed for a reasonable $25M over the next 5 years. There is really nice value with his current production and contract. Skinner is a rental, but a good one at that who can be a 50-60 point player for a year. Wilde is obviously a first rd talent, though prob. a couple years away from being NHL ready.

Draisaitl is just one of the best values in the league, 7 years at $8.5M a year for a 70 point center is crazy good. With him just turning 23 early this season and 51, 77 and 70 points in his first 3 years the sky seems the limit for him. He has the potential to be a top 20 point producer every year. On top of that he was excellent in the face-off circle this year and has great possession numbers. You just don't give that up unless it is a no-brainer and I just don't see that here.

Bailey is coming off a 70 point season, but how sustainable is that, that is well above his career norms and he is older so it's unlikely that this is a major breakout. LIkely he'll be more like a 50 point player with maybe one more spike year over these 5 years. That is good and worth his contract for sure, but it's not worth Draistal.

Think it would make more sense for Canes to land Drai. Isles are probably about to go into at least a mini-rebuild while the Canes are looking to take the next couple of steps this season.

Okay, makes more sense now. I thought you meant you thought it was close to happening. Misunderstanding.

What about Edmonton giving up Drasaitl? There is no way that will happen.
