Breakdown

Vegas get EK. Give up 2 good prospects, a cap dump and a few picks to get it done. Ottawa May have to send back a prospect like Lajoie/Bergman/Jaros to get it done

Boro to anyone who will take him

I went to WPG with duchene mainly so they can upgrade their 2C and have 3 very good C (have them trading Perreault after acquiring Duchene and having Scheifele, Duchene, Little as their 3 C’s) Ottawa gets a RD to replace EK and a pick

Boedker, Smith and Pageau to any teams that would want extra depth for playoffs and Ottawa just gets picks in return.

Ottawa gets their 2019 1st back but have to give up Stone in order to get it. Also acquire a solid player in Kerfoot. Makes Colorado much better and they don’t really have to give up much to get a star winger. Tough trade for Ottawa to take but is needed to completely delve into a rebuild

All in all, Ottawa will most likely be very bad this year with all these trades unless the young guys really step up. Getting plenty of picks within the first few rounds will be a good start towards what looks like will be a few years of rebuilding

Not sure either. Think Ottawa needs to get it back but not sure if avs will want to. Think they might prefer to just roll the dice and see where the pick ends up

I do think they'd be interested in a Mark Stone level player if they are trading the Ottawa pick though.

How does it feels, Ott fans, to give that much for duchene and to trade it one year later for less than half of his value?

Honestly, when the trade happened didn’t feel to bad with it. Team didn’t want to resign turris, traded Hammond who was next to useless, trades an ok prospect in bowers and a 1st and a 3rd which at the time we thought would be in the 20s. But now that the team came completely off the rails, the only thing I really wish the sens didn’t part with was the 1st. Everything else I’m still okay with. Although I wish we just resigned Turris.
