Better than the Islanders and Canucks who just throw crazy money on 4th liners

But doesn't Minny have like 5-6 players that are fourth liners? I guess they want competition and the losers go down...

Read can easily play on the 3rd line. He is a solid player and a crazy bargain at min salary.

I would personally guess that Read, being on a two-way contract, is more likely to play in Iowa than Minnesota. but that's just me.

Probably depends on whether the kids are ready to play full time or not.

Barring injury at the NHL level, Read will absolutely be playing in Iowa. It’s likely that Wild management like the way Read plays and approaches the game and will lean on his veteran experience to provide mentoring to young players coming thru the system. After scores of early playoff exits and general mediocrity, there has been talk of a culture change in Minnesota and it’s important to start building from the ECHL to the AHL up to the NHL a winning mentality.
