Skinner had a full NMC, and if the rumours are true that he nixed a few deals at the draft. Canes were in a tough spot if they were set on trading him before the season if they cant extend him. Feels like they might have missed their chance a the draft to get the max return for him

But its not a bad return for a pending UFA, a little under whelming but full NMC and if he wanted to be closer to Toronto from whats floating around on twitter "Waddell on Skinner moving closer to home (Toronto): "Buffalo was always a team high on his list."....options on returns were limited after UFA started

As a comparison....when Colorado traded Duchene they got:

- 2 x 1st round picks / prospects (one will be a top-5 pick).
- 3 x 2nd round picks / prospects
- 1 x 3rd round pick
- 1 x average backup goalie

And Duchene was was coming off a 41 points season...and was kind of acting like a prick.
