I tried to duplicate the Tampa one that was posted. Can't get any better than this with what we have.

This is a concept I spoke about a while back, is it even possible to trade for a super elite centre? I don't see it being a smart move. Whoever trades the star will lose 9 out of 10 times. The cost it would take to make the trade fair would be astronomical because you'll never get a player nearly as good as what you are giving up so you'd need huge quantity.

If we are talking about McDavid you'd need a centre who is younger than 21 years old who looks like he'll be a perennial allstar and defenceman who is 22 or under and looks like they'll win several norris trophies. Plus a 1st round pick or two. And once we are in that price range it starts to not make sense from a buyers standpoint.

The guy who did the Tampa one went Point/Sergachev/Foote/1st and was told to add another 1st. I did the best I could to duplicate that with what I have to work with.

Good start, but not nearly as close as the Tampa trade in my opinion. Just FYI to everyone saying "he won't be traded", the poster understands that. I think Sergachev is more valuable than Butcher because of his age and perceived ceiling. I suppose Hischier may have more value than point because of being drafted 1st overall, and he did have a really good first season. But I think Point is an excellent player too, so Hischier isn't that much more valuable IMO. Rielly Walsh doesn't nearly have the value that Foote does, so that's the real issue here

Replace Walsh with Ty Smith? I picked Walsh because he will likely be ready first.
