Helping MTL Tank/ Giving NSH Options

Description
Y. Weber gives MTL a replacement RHD that can eat up some minutes. Fabbro gives them a good prospect that saw S. Weber as one of his favorite players.

Nashville gets a capable 2nd pairing RHD. If a deal can't be reached with Ellis by the deadline, Ellis is traded for the best futures package available. If Ellis can be re-signed, the team is re-evaluated at the end of the playoffs and if adjustments made as needed.

Why would Nashville do this though? They need to resign Ellis and then Josi the following season. This contract just puts them in a deeper bind.

He said that he would do this if Ellis isn't resigned by the TDL.

I really like the return, from MTL perspective, but I don't think trading Petry this season is a good move for MTL. I mean, he's at the peak of his value, That's for sure, but he's also our (Habs fan here) best d-man, right now...maybe next season at the deadline, but I really don't think he's getting traded this season...even though that offer is really interesting!
