Of course.

IF they keep everyone (no trades)

IF the whole team stays SUPER healthy

IF Chlapik Brown White & Wolanin (Tkachuk is going to the OHL for a season 100% sure) all have very good season (for rookies)

IF B.Ryan remembers how to play hockey

IF, somehow, Anderson can still bounce back like he usually do (one good year followed by one bad year etc.) at age 37

IF all their star players, who clearly all wants out of OTT, can magically rise above this feeling and settle in the right mindset to be focus each and every game

...That's A LOT if "IF'S", if you catch my drift...it IS possible...but very unlikely. I like your optimism, though!

I mean there's no trades yet and I don't see any one being traded soon, also the team had a whole off-season to rest so Health shouldn't be a issue. B.Ryan is still a good hockey player if his fingers don't keep breaking (he was on pave for 44+ pts last year), I think Tkachuk could manage to stay in the NHL for the whole season don't know how you're 100% sure he's going to the OHL.

Because he's not ready yet. His game need to mature and he needs to be the "go to" guy with plenty of ice time and play in big situations in hockey games, which he won't in OTT. Rushing a guy in the NHL is one of the worst thing that can be done for his developpment. It's almost a given that he'll suit up for London this season. Just look at all the Twitter posts on him in the previous 2 days (regarding his pro contract signing). That's what makes me think he's headed for the OHL, no doubt about it. And it's the right move too!

As always, anything can happen. Vegas proved that to us last season. But if we're going to set a bar for where they should finish, it's very, very low. This team is going to rely on a lot of unproven pieces and pieces that don't want to be in Ottawa anymore to take you to the playoffs. This team making the playoffs would be terrible. It most likely means that they keep Stone, Karlsson and Duchene, and then all three most likely walk for nothing. The best thing for this team is to trade all three of them for big returns and then start from scratch.

Yeah I agree they’re is a lot of unproven pieces and ifs involved but in a best case scenario where all the rookies find NHL success and our Star Players have good years and Goaltending is average this team could probably surprise they have the pieces.
