Ducks can't afford to resign Karlsson, so trading a top 4 dman, a former 1st, and a 2019 1st is out of the question.

Even if they send a cap dump back too?

If you want Corey Perry's cap hit for 1 year of Karlsson, have at 'er.

The Ducks have sooo much Cap space to work with they can resign EK no problem and they're core of Getzlaf, Perry, Kesler is getting old so this is something they might actually want to look in to.

This magical cap space that you're talking about...Does it include the Gibby extension? Re-signing Silfverberg? The Henrique raise?

Not to mention the fact that the Ducks run on an internal cap as opposed to maxing out, so trading the farm for one person is a bit aggressive.

Yeah they're internal cap would make it hard.

Yeah I’m sorry you couldn’t be more wrong. They have around $6M in contract increases next season going to Henrique and Gibby alone, not accounting for resigning Kase, Ritchie, and Silf.

I mean they could technically move some cap around or look in to a buyout possibly but that is probably unlikely considering they are a low budget team. And yeah I totally forgot about the Gibson extension.

The Ducks also run on a internal cap, No way in hell can they afford to pay Erik Karlsson $11 million per.
