This is a pretty good effort...I’ve deducted one star for the Talbot signing (will he be worth 5.2M when he’s 35?) and one for the defense (you’re counting on both Bear and Bouchard to pan out as legit NHL rearguards, which is a bad bet.)

Benning could have been a Bruin, but wouldn't sign. Can't see Boston having interestin him now

Well, there's Berglund and Persson on the right side too, it's not a bad bet to expect 2/4 to make it. Personally I think all 4 will be pushing for NHL jobs a year from now.

I heard there was someone on here with a crystal ball - so it's you? Please tell us how terrible Bouchard and Bear will be in 2 years!

You’re relying on two unproven prospects to play top-2 and top-4 minutes. Pretty big gamble.

Sergachev was unproven just 1 year ago. So was McAvoy. This mock is looking 2 years into the future and you think you can say with certainty that "Edmonton isn’t getting anywhere with that defense"? Also, I count only ONE unproven prospect in the top-4, not sure what you're looking at.

I’m looking at a top-4 with 2 players who haven’t even made the nhl yet. Sure they could pan out but I think it’s a big risk to play two rookies like that rather than sign or trade for someone.

Idk how many of those UFAs will actually sign here but if they do this is a good looking roster. As of right now I dont mind talbot at 35 for 5.2 but talbot at 39 at 5.2 is a little worrisome.

The whole top 4 D corps are first round picks. They’ll get somewhere at least
