Another Oiler Trade

Created by: Acegamer
Team: 2018-19 Boston Bruins
Initial Creation Date: Aug. 16, 2018

Salary Cap Mode: Basic
Description
Fair??? What would you add or take away to make it more fair.
Trades
BOS
  1. Nugent-Hopkins, Ryan
  2. Puljujärvi, Jesse
Additional Details:
Edmonton gets Krug who can really help the forward group carry the play. McQuaid can add much needed stability, toughness and veteran leadership. Heinen is a strong prospect as well as Cehlarik and Senyshyn who I think would be a great fit in Edmonton and won't get a chance in Boston.
EDM
  1. Cehlárik, Peter
  2. Heinen, Danton
  3. Krug, Torey
  4. McQuaid, Adam
  5. Senyshyn, Zach
Additional Details:
Everyone says don't trade Krug. Good offense but he is still plus 0. If Boston were to keep him, it should be for bottom 6 and PP time. Nugent-Hopkins offers center depth and a younger center to fill a spot Krejci or Bergeron may leave some day. Puljujarvi is the RW we need for Krejci. Hasn't reached his potential but could be a sleeper alongside Krejci.

Heinen will always be a solid 3rd liner. Trade him now while people think he can be a top 6.

Interesting. The guy ranked 26th in points last year among LWer's as a rookie. He had two less points than some kid name Tkachuk and only three more points than this guy named Neal. Oh he also had 4 more points than that DeBrusk kid, who the Bruins wont trade...yet Heinen will only be a solid 3rd liner? Meanwhile the guy that you say Krejci needs has put up a whopping 28 points in 93 games played. Oh, but a former #4OA pick so there's so much more potential. Funny I remember this kid name Nail going #1 overall and now he's out of the league.

Give me a valid reason why you’d rather have RNH and Pool Party over Krug and Heinen? And then you add from the BRUINS side?

All the other nonsense aside I'd rather have rnh right now than krug. Krug an offensive monster and it's a big thing but he's just plain bad in his own zone. Heaven help us if he gets hemmed in his own zone and has to play d. He needs sheltered minutes at 5 on 5 . If I knew that stud or jfk or Fredrick was going to be a top line or 2nd line center I would pass on rnh but krejci and berg are getting old and the kids aren't ready.

Plus 0 = LoL.................

This is a disgusting overpayment. Bruins get taken to the cleaners in this trade. RNH for Krug is meh. Just those two players, the value wouldn't be off much. I get you're adding Puljujarvi to this one, but why do you think that makes Boston better when you're giving up Heinen + Cehlarik + Senyshyn in the process? McQuaid is a filler, throw-in. Still a valuable defenseman, but I won't consider him as much here. Seems like someone is into JP because he was the 4th overall pick. He hasn't shown much since being drafted. You're giving up a more productive prospect in Heinen. This is just a trade for the sake of making a trade.

Also LOL at Backes being an extra forward at 6M. I get he got hurt last year in the playoffs, but his injuries throughout the season were freak BS. In the regular season he produced at a 33 points in 57 games. That's a 0.58 PPG pace... he did that on the 3rd line + PP time, and that was with coming back early from the stomach issue. I think it's straight comedy how Bruins fans throw him away like he's some wounded grandpa. The man can still play and until his play ACTUALLY drops off, he's not going to sit the bench, be on the 4th line or anything of the sort.

So with that, not really fired up about going into the season with 12M tied up in two players in the bottom 6. Not overly appealing.
