It is beautiful in its simplicity. Habs get a C and a vet to mentor the kids. Oil gets cap relief, a scoring winger and a guy who can play 2nd or 3rd line minutes until the cows come home. Is Alzner's contract ugly? Yes, but Lucic's is uglier. Is Nuge worth more than Patches? Yes, but the extra ugly from Lucic can help balance that.

So beautiful and simple that you will undoubtedly be torn to shreds by fans from both teams and Leafs fans, who exist to crap on everything.

I like this, especially from MON point of view. Gotta think EDM tries to stick it out with Lucic in hopes of a Dustin Brown-esque turnaround before giving away Nuge though

its makes sense. But both GMs are equally as dumb.
One of these teams will manage to lose this trade as soon as its done.
Im a Hab fan living in edmonton who now also cheers for the oilers.

the worst thing to ever happen to the Oilers was Dustin Brown having a good season.
Plus Lucic would need to wave his no trade clause

100%. RNH played extremely well with McDavid at the end of last year, and I'd assume that Lucic has a better chance of bouncing back than Alzner.
