There would be more obvious trades that could happen but this is my attempt to think out of the box. Let the criticism begin....lol.

Trades
1.
BOS
  1. Spezza, Jason ($3,000,000 retained)
Additional Details:
One year left on the contract, gives Dallas some space to make some trades. They get a solid prospect in return.
DAL
  1. Cehlárik, Peter
  2. 2020 4th round pick (BOS)
Additional Details:
Probably won't get a decent shot in Boston due to forward depth. Spezza contract is over next year, they may be able to resign him much cheaper.
2.
BOS
  1. Perry, Corey ($2,625,000 retained)
Additional Details:
Anaheim gets a good offensive defense man and a solid prospect. Added Heinen and Kuraly to entice Anahiem to retain salary.
ANA
  1. Heinen, Danton
  2. Krug, Torey
  3. Kuraly, Sean
Additional Details:
Perry would score 35-40 goals alongside Bergeron and Marchand without a doubt in my mind. I know this will be an unpopular choice but I stand by my thoughts that Krug is only a plus 0 on defense and Heinen is overrated. (Boo let's here the critics....lol)
3.
BOS
  1. 2019 7th round pick (NJD)
Additional Details:
Just picked Devils because I think it would be a good fit. Any team that would be willing to take on the contract. That being said Backes still has a lot to add a team. Just not Boston. He is a great leader and strong presence on a team and can add some depth scoring. But Bruins need to free cap space and let some younger guys get a chance.
NJD
  1. Backes, David ($2,000,000 retained)
4.

  1. 2019 4th round pick (EDM)

The effort is there and I appreciate it. But I do have some criticism. The Sbisa contract is an overpayment, and for far too long of term. If they were to sign him, which they shouldn’t, it’d be a 1 year contract. The Spezza trade I don’t fully mind, although I’m not sure if Dallas would want to retain. I think the Perry trade is bad, because it makes the team substantially older, and you lose Krug and Heinen. Heinen isn’t just someone you throw into a trade to get a team to retain. The Backes and Mcquaid trades are both cap dumps, which I get. Idk about the Backes trade, though the Mcquaid trade is fine. Also I’m not sure if Perry would waive his NMC for Boston. All in all, good effort, a solid 3 stars.

The two best lines I've ever seen in hockey was Bergeron, Crosby, Perry at the 2005 World Juniors and Marchand, Crosby, Bergeron, at the 2016 world cup. Obviously the common denominator there is Crosby, but obviously the Bruins would never get Crosby. For me the best option (that is at all possible) would be Perry as I believe any combination of those 4 players I believe would be the best line in the league. I would give up Krug and Heinen in a second if this would be possible. It would be so fun to watch. Not to mention the chemistry Pastranak and DeBrusk has with Krejci. Amazing top 2 lines. And then Spezza centering 2 highly skilled rookies. I would see Boston with the best top 3 lines in the league.

I think many players in the league would be willing to be on a wing with Bergeron and Marchand. I think Perry would waive.

Sbisa I won't argue, just to say 2 mil for a plus 13 defense is pretty good, but I agree would be nice to shorten the contract to make sure he is a fit. I just gave him a longer contract as a carrot to sign for only 2 mil per year.

You say that Perry would without a doubt score 35-40 goal with Bergeron, yet he plays with Getzlaf, one of the best passers in the NHl. And Perry hasn't been producing that much with him (19 and 17 goals the past 2 seasons), despite Getzlaf being over a point per game in the same time span. Doesn't make a shred of sense to expect more from him with Bergeron...

Perry is gonna be 34 years old in a league that is getting younger every year. This isn't 1980s hockey, old people can't keep up. Very few players 34+
Furthermore, Krug has almost 0 value. 5'9 defensemen simply aren't in demand anywhere. You can keep that garbage.

Perry last 2 seasons 19-34-53. 17-32-49. Backes 82 game pace last year 20-27-47. Now that he is settled in and healthy. I expect this will be his best season since coming to Boston.

I’d rather keep Backes and Krug/Heinen.

You aren’t gaining anything. Losing 50 point d man, 50 point rookie.

No thanks.

And Backes isn’t waiving for NJ anyways.

None of these trades make any sense.
Spezza is terrible.
The idea that Perry will score 35 is bonkers. He couldn't get 20 with getzlaf. And you're giving up a crazy good rookie, and a 59 point d man. I'm all board on trading Krug, but Perry has such a bad contract.
Why does nj want backes? Why does he waive his nmc?

Awful.

You’re citing 2003. Think about that

I'd just like to point out that the guy you traded for Krug, Heinen, and Kuraly was bought out and only got 1.5 million in free agency. But yeah he'll score 35-40 goals with Bergeron...
