Apparently he wanted $6M for this season, so I guess if Ottawa wants to keep him, they must give him a lot more than he actually earns.

I know that and I dont understand that. I would let him go for free because even the free part would be more useful.. he is swiss cheese on defence and bad offensively.. ehh..

Why is Z. Smith often sent to the Flames in these trade scenarios ? There was an unfounded rumor months ago. But now after the forward overhaul , not interested , no room and especially not for a second rounder.

He asked for 6 mill because he was going to arbitration. He knows he’s not worth 6 mill
