Wings are under tha cap. Everyone is signed. Teade is horrible,

Rest are solid value wise. Vegas has no need for another LD they have 6 already.

Wings deal is horrible.
1. Nielsen is not waiving to go to a team who has less of a future then the team he is on right now.
2. If we made this trade to give up E.S. and take on Smlemko contract, we are not retaining salary.
3. If and I say if Zetterberg can not play then Nielsen is the new cagey veteran and we are not giving him up for Schlemko.
4. We can get under the cap with Franzen and Zetterberg on LTIR. Zetterberg on LTIR before season takes us to 79,500,00 with 23 players on roster and then put Franzen LTIR, giving us 2.5 million in cap space. Pro lem solved.

Nielsen is going to be our 2c and he's actually pretty good (we just used him in an exclusively shut down role last season) and Svech killed it his rookie season in Grand Rapids, he had issues with his neck injury and has loads of potential (he'll probably make the team out of camp). We don't need Shlemko because he takes up a spot for Hicketts or Hronek and a 3rd is just insulting.

Svech is a young first round pick who has lots of promise, unfair to say he hasnt done anything since he had 50-plus points in his first pro season. And yes, if zetty cant play the wings are under the cap, if so the wings will need to make some moves to become cap compliant.

laugh First off Nielsen would never waive for Montreal, Secondly Svechnikov is only moved for a decent D prospect Schlemko is a laugh This is truly bad for Detroit You already answered your own question at the end? Nielsen wouldn't waive for Montreal.
