Well, after Thornton retires, the team has +5M of cap, and probably more since the salary cap is rising... Resigning both is very possible.

And I'm thinking that the next year they'll put Hertl to the 2nd line C. Also I believe Gambrell and/or Norris will make it to the roster until then.

Fair enough. Just take into account Couture's 8 million kicks in, and Pavelski will see a similar increase. Not to mention Panarin will get between 8.5-9.5. It's possible to fit it all in. But it won't be easy

Someone finally has fair value in their trades. I like Foligno, as he replaces the physicality you lose with Meier. I ONLY do the CBJ deal with the extension. Staal would be a good pickup, especially if you move a center or if Thornton isn't a 2nd liner.

Subtract $2.00 mil due to Couture's salary increase. You net $3.00 mil in space.
