Here's the problem. Everyone wants to give up their bad players to get a good one. Hamonic had a horrible year last year. Bennett isn't worth a lot if he's a 30 point guy. Frolik is a decent middle six guy. You act like Ottawa wants these guys. What are they going to do in a rebuild with an aging winger, an underachieving 22-year old, and one of the worst players on the Flames last year?
You have to GIVE something to GET something. That's why everyone keeps saying Tkachuk is in the deal (but there is no way the Flames do that).
You know who the Sens want? Noah Hanafin. You do Hanafin, Bennett, you two best prospects, and a first. That is the beginning of a deal.
