We shouldn't be after Karlsson. The trade itself is ok except for the fact that I wouldn't want to trade Dahlen as he looks like a special player.

Canucks need to stay the course and keep trying to acquire prospects and picks. Canucks won't be good for another 2-3 year's depending on the drafting and development of their prospects.

I know it's hard but canucks need to be patient and then when the team is ready and they have a foundation, that's when they go after big name FA's.

Plus another issue I have is Bobby Ryan is earning too much money for long term. We already have bad contracts for players that are overpayed like Eriksson and Sutter. We need this money especially if Boeser pettersson Hughes Demko and let's say our 2019 1st pick hits their potential. Its a cap league and we gotta be responsible with what they do with their money. Plus Karlsson is gonna demand 8×11 mil contract. And if he doesn't we gave up a lot for a rental.

Well looks like the Canucks are out of this running. EK is not willing to sign an extension with a Canadian team.

You know it's a awful trade for the Vancouver when Sens fans find it acceptable. What an overpayment for a one year rental, and it still probably still be non playoff team.

Yes, thanks my confirming my thought. "Karlsson will PROBABLY sign an extension," Why should he? Out of the playoffs teams don't trade good pieces of their futures for "hoping" a guy signs
