It's not worth giving up a pick like that. So for Blues I would say no deal.

STL should take that and run. Farabee will be way better than Kostin.

This is like trading the 25th pick int he draft for the 26th. Sure I guess but why?

Both guys haven't even hit their stride yet. Both teams barely know what they have yet. usually this happens with former 1st rounders who are 23-24 kind of like the Shinkaruk for Rychel trade.

What type of pick do you think would make this reasonable?

well Blues perspective to me is Kostin is going to be a stud. Farabee might be a little high upside, but not worth a 3 round downgrade. maybe a 4th Round pick with Kostin for Farabee, but it really doesn't make sense for Philly to give up Farabee.

Farabee was drafted higher and is safer, but no one compared a 17 year old Farabee to Malkin and Kovalchuk.

No from Philly. Farabee looks like the real deal. Kostin, as a Russian, could bolt for the KHL at any moment. Not worth the risk.

Technically anyone can just bolt for the KHL at any moment.

Common sense would say that most knowledgeable hockey fans know that Russians are way more likely to bolt for the KHL over a guy born and raised in NA that grew up following the NHL. Name the last time a top NA prospect bolted for the KHL...

I am right. Boychuk left on the second year of his contract after the ELC. Scrivens was only in the league 4 years. They bolted. Anyone can, not just russians

So you think a kid like Farabee is more likely to bolt to the KHL over Kostin...brilliant! And I don’t think I ever said only Russians go and play in the KHL. Get off your high horse, you look like a fool.

I look like a fool? Funny cause youre the one that was wrong and I am just simply correcting you. I never said Farabee is more likely to bolt to the NHL then Kostin, I said he always has the option to. So don't try and insult me, please be quiet so I can continue on with important conversations? I have already spent enough time trying to explain to you why your statement is wrong so please stop. You're making yourself look like an imbecile

Yet I'm older then you little dude. Lemme just tell you when you can admit you are wrong, like you were, life gets easier. You said he is more likely to bolt to the KHL because he is Russian. That is why I am disputing your incorrect statement! But please keep making an idiot of yourself!

I've got a clue dude! My point is anyone can bolt. You are using an incorrect stereotype dude! I'm sorry you are wrong but if you cannot admit it, you can continue to act like a child! Please dude stop, your embarrassing yourself! More NA prospects have bolted to Russia then Russian prospects in NA.
