I expect one of Moore or Grundstrom to be playing for the Leafs by this year but not on the first line, you underrated Marleau unbelievably and he is not going anywhere, he wants Stanley and the Leafs have a better chance than the sharks do at winning her.

I mean Babs is on record saying Gundstrom would look good with Matthews.
And yes, it all hinges on trading Marleau which is slim. not sure what you mean by underrating him?

Panarin is great and all but I wouldn't mortgage so much of the future for him when that package could get a legit right handed defensemen. Or the Leafs could just wait until free agency and sign him without giving that up. That package might be worth an extended Panarin but it's not worth 1 year of him.

Best case scenario for Marleau is the Leafs win the Stanley cup this year, he retires and his cap hit is traded to the Coyotes or an equivalent team so they get above the cap floor. If the Leafs don't he's staying in the blue and white for his final year amd Panarin is completely out of the picture.

Couldn’t agree more, marleau doesn’t waive his nmc for anything and I mean anything. If it’s not offering the cure for cancer or the solution to world hunger than Marleau is a leaf till he A) wins a cup or B) retires and even winning a cup doesn’t ensure he waives.

Yes he did say that and so have a lot of other people. Grundstrom or Kapanen (if he were to shift over to the left) could do a lot of damage and I think would gel nicely.

If grundstrom signs an extension before the season starts he will be the first line LW in 19/20.... 20/21 at the latest.
