I hate Montreal and I think Weber is a bad contract/injured player, but you are still paying a decent price for him. Even if hes only got a few more years in him your paying a good amount. Not what the leafs core needs

Why take on the worst contract in the nhl then when you still have 3 rfas who will cost more then 20M combined within the next year

I disagree anyone willing to take that contract gets a first round pick and sends back a 2nd. Unless Montreal retains 50% and if that sounds ridiculous to you, than why would anyone want to retain 100%?

Because you ate still getting a good player and not a piece of paper. I'm all for the habs hate but within reason
