what makes you think seguin will want to go there? tavares didn't for the same reason that seguin won't.

Montréal isn’t very attractive for someone who wants a cup. I have high doubts there.

I think the signing is a bit ridiculous for EDM too though.. giving almost 40% of your cap space to 3 players seems like a recipe for disaster. Though not something I should put past Chiarelli

Typical 4th line

You're relying a lot on your d prospects that haven't put in quality nhl time. Risky move. I feel like the 10M spent on Sequin would be better spent maybe going after more than 1 UFA winger and spreading the cash out a little more. As of right now there are several quality UFA wingers at the end of the season. I think you'd be better served bolstering your 1st and 2nd line instead just your 1st.
