I would definitely take Bennett and Stone over Beaulieu and Girgensons

I think this is one of those mutually beneficial trades. Bennett could conceivably reach his potential with a change of scenery, and Stone is still a decent player, just doesn't have a good contract.

Girgensons and Beaulieu are both decent players going the other way, with pretty good contracts.

Absolutely, Huge upgrade for Buffalo. Both Beaulieu and Girgensons will be fighting for the final defensive and forward spot on the Sabres next year. Stone is the same age as Skinner so he will be around for some time.

This is a horrible trade for the Flames. I know Betterall is a genius. but not even he could convince Treliving to make this trade. TBH 2 thirds would be a lot for Beaulieu and Girgensons. IMO, Stone and Bennett would be a good offer for Torey Krug from the Bruins. They need wingers and Calgary could use another offensive defenseman.

What a terrible trade for the flames. Girgensons who is a 4th line player now for the Sabres, and Beaulieu who is fighting for the 6th/7th D spot in Buffalo now. Bennett is a 3rd line winger who still has upside and trade value 7 Stone who is a good defenseman coming off a year where the entire flames d-core didn't play up to par.
