Risky business there. That'll put us at 50 contracts even, which means we can't pick up anyone new.

Spezza wont waive for Montreal, And why would Dallas be interested in $10.5 million Carey Price when they still have Ben Bishop on the team?

Why wouldn't he waive?

Because Spezza is on record not wanting to play in Canada? And Dallas is a lot closer to playoff contention then Montreal is.

And FIRE BERGEVIN'S ASS otherwise he'll do the exact same thing as he did with Subban, Sergachev, Radulov and the list goes on and on....worst GM in the league can't rebuild with that.

So I googled this a while back and could find nothing more recent than a post about 4 years old - he was a Senator at the time - and I did find articles by sports writers in Dallas-Fort Worth suggesting he could end up in Canada.

I'm wondering if you have anything to back up your claim that's not 4 years old or older, which is several lifetimes in hockey? It'd be foolish to say he wouldn't waive for the Leafs, wouldn't it? Or the Oil? Because things have changed for those teams over the passage of time? And maybe his wants and preferences have changed?

really liked the trade. we have kotkaniemi, suzuki and poehling down the middle for years to come. hughes would be a god send, but i think the next step is to tank for the 18-19 season, draft well in the 19 draft, and jump back into the playoff game in the 19-20 season, as kotkaniemi and poehling will be nhl bound
