Is definetly one of the more reasonable karlsson trades ive seen. Lots of worse projections out there

I’ll break it down for you then. Dzingel himsef can get a 2nd rounder, Ottawa’s third will be higher than Vegas’ so that pretty much cancels out the two thirds and the fifth and the 7th rpund swap. That means that the value for Karlsson is:
Eakin: a third line cap dump
Hague: more likely bottom 4 than top 4 guy
Dansk: Vegas’ third string goalie
And a first round pick

That is substantially less of a package than what mtl got patcioretty and Karlsson is a significantly more valuable player.
