Vegas has a nice top 6 set up for the next few years. Their D is still suspect but its young and improving. Impressive that they been able to set up a decently competitive team for the next few years

Problem is I don’t think he signs it. Based on performance this year as a ufa if puts up over 30 goals and over 60 points which I think is quite possible I would think he would certainly want more term I would say 7-7.5 6yrs. Leaving him at 33 with no contract would be a huge minus for him to resign.

I thought the same, but an ancient wise elder (father time-get the pun?) told me that Nevada doesn't have state tax or something in that range. He will (hopefully) get a deal close to where he was born in CT. NYR, NYI, BOS, BUF might be top choices for him at 33, but we will see
