if montreal is rebuilding they aren't gonna want kessel(nor would he want to go there, which is important). So not sure if this works for any of the three parties involved.

No. Other than Price, no one else is the heart and soul of the team like Gallagher. What he adds in terms of motivation, character and spirit is worth its weight in gold. Especially a team of rookies. Kessel would not be the role model Gallagher is.

I see the value, but Montreal still wouldnt do it, not the right time. I also think this more then what Toronto got for Kessel from Pittsburgh
