Description
I'd love to see this. Barrie would have a nice time in Vancouver, and Makar could get som experience from the get go. Also, I have a feeling Pavel will pan work out - even though he doesn't have any NA experience yet. His numbers were great in the KHL and most importantly steady! The Simmons/Varly trade is based upon Philly needs a bag of pucks in the net, who is actually capable of stealing a game or two - Varly is the man for that, if the russian cookie can keep healthy.

Also, trading for Simmons would be for that purpose that he re-signs.

Canucks aren't trading their # 1 centre who signed for five years for just two years of Barrie. Canucks are doomed to finish out of the playoffs this year anyway and Barrie isn't going to change that.

I actually see what you mean. Horvat would be a nice addition though - who do you see as Avs 2. line center? Josty isn't ready yet, and we could need a guy who could play big minutes with Mackinnon.

Vancouver is going to pretty interesting this season with Pettersson coming to town. The guy looks incredible!

Agree/Disagree. Vancouver is super horny for Barrie and have tried to trade for him multiple times of the year.....their GM is Benning who is always due for a compelte train wreck of a trade.
I agree with you that they probably wouldnt trade Horvat, logically, but I wouldnt put it past Benning to something like that to get Barrie

Yet again, trading for Barrie would mean they would be without their future C - giving the C to eg. Gudbranson, could make sense in terms of Pettersson progressing nicely. I don't know, but this trade makes sense one way or the other.
