Weber's contract sucks because of potential retirement/buyout penalties

MTL is unlikely to make the playoffs soon, they tanked too hard for it to be a fluke. But with Price/Weber, you'll be trapped around 20th in the standings.

Why not do the obvious and retain the maximum of Weber's salary, widen the market, and get a better return?

It's Nashville that gets the majority of the Recapture penalties isn't it? Pretty sure it's very minor for everyone else.


I thinks the cap hits and also the trade balance would work better if it was Drysaddle instead of Nuge.
