Well, Boychuk for Sekera (after retention he's the cheaper option and he also is fit to play unlike Sekera) and a 40 goal scorer for 2 prospects and draft picks... Seems reasonable for me

No from buffalo. Eberle at 3m does not get you a lottery first.

Well, would you go for it if the pick is, say, TOP8 protected?

No Boychuk isnt a cheaper version of Sekera, because Sekera is still good. As for the unfit tobplay part that means he'll go onto ltir and free up 5.5M in cap space. As for "just 2 prospects" they are both quality players. Bear is most lilely going to see top 4 minutes this year besode one of Klef or Nurse and Safin is a human area code. At 19 hes 6'6 200lbs and was almost 1ppg in his first season of North American hockey with littpe help after Veleno left(Ostap was putting up insane numbers when Veleno was still there). Sure Lee is good, but if you look at his numbers you will notice that last season is the odd one out in his career. Sure he may have vastly improved but when theres the possibility that it was mostly Tavares Oilers wont trade theor most ready D prospect and a solid yound prospect.

Opinion noted.

Can you make a counteroffer of some sort? I don't really have knowledge of your prospects...

The way I see it is hes currently in a similar boat as Maroon was last spring. Decent player but his value is going to be lower because of who he plays with. So Id offer a similar package to what Edmonton gotnfor Maroon(but with better players/picks of course).

Filip Berglund, Cam Hebig & 2020 2nd
For
Anders Lee

NYI wouldn't accept this. I believe minimum of their demand is a first and a b-prospect, depending on how Lee performs during 2018-19 regular season before the trade deadline.

Nah. Kanes a comparable. Kane returned a 2nd that became a late first when he resigned. And a garbage prospect. Hes a rental and the retention doesnt add much value here.

That chicago trade is disgusting. In what universe is that fair? Devon Toews is a young and upcoming defenseman and Filppula was brought to shore up the PK and be a veteran in return. How can John Hayden and a fourth round pick be even in the same ballpark for these two guys.

It's a conditional pick.

No I would barely go for it if the picks weren't involved
