DO an AGM with Duchene traded for Zetterberg, Athanasiou and a 2nd rounder. Melnyk will be happy with not paying Zetterberg and Dorion will be happy with a faster and younger player with character for his rebuild.

Zadina is going to play in GR most of the season. Better junior players (Huberdeau, Dubois, Marner, Drouin) have been sent back to the juniors and the Wings never give roster spots to players drafted that year. It's Svech's and Rasmussen's spots to lose. Bert is going to play with Moe and Larkin. Nyquist isn't worth a 1st. He's worth about a 2nd and 4th. Grabner trade for comparable. Vanek has a NTC and he never really gets much interest at the deadline. He'll probably stay with us all season.

Agreed at best Nyquist will get us a 2019 2nd+2020 3rd round pick. Pretty sure that it was reported that Vanek wont waive this time. Reportedly he's staying with Detroit the entire season.
