Yeah, I don't expect them to ice a good lineup. These are just players who Ottawa could sign. No big name guy will come to Ottawa for a while likely.

It's called needing to hit the cap floor. Notice he is still under it even with those contracts, and that doesn't include the cap going up

The floor is actually set at 58.8 million, but with the cap rising it probably won't be in 2 years.
Maybe the ELC's hit their bonuses though! smile

C'mon, Alex Chiasson is my favorite outstanding UFA this year. I want one of my four teams to sign him NOW. How could you consign him to Ottawa?!?

Also 2 Million to Del Zotto is a good deal, it might even be a bit low. Either way its a good depth signing and you could get a pick for him at the deadline.
