It doesn't trash future drafts

EDM gets better today, prospects aren't touched. Prove me wrong. You're hung up on individual value but a team isn't the the simple sum of parts

after this season: 4 wingers are RFA, both goalies are UFA. The team is $4 million below the cap without Nurse on the roster and without these trades

I wish Chiarelli is like the Oilers fans on capfriendly. This roster added some affordable cap hits for the foreseeable future, and freed up cap space while improving the team and protecting draft picks.
If this can't fly in EDM, it will be a feast for all. Incredible

Why would you want Chiarelli to be worse than he already is

Well, Darnell Nurse would make an excellent addition to the Maple Leafs for every possible reason

but it has to be Chiarelli's idea because it would cost too much outside of a fire-sale

and Chiarelli only gets to make the calls if it seems like he is the smartest person in Edmonton (thanks Oilers fans)

The question I have is who are you a fan of? Are you chirping the Oilers? I can see this being from a Vancouver fan perspective because Horvat terribly over valued here. Or you ware a Montreal fan because that trade is just awful.

This is essentially the same thing as a Leaf fan offering Kadri for RNH and Nurse, which everyone outside of TO would lose their minds over. RNH, Horvat, Kadri, Schenn etc, are all the same, so Vancouver trading the youngest of the good 2C crowd for an older version of itself makes no sense.
