Additional Details:
I'm not sure about the value on this one but the point is Ottawa has a decent amount of talented wingers and centermen prospects but almost nothing in terms of defense. I would definitely consider moving one or even two of those forwards prospects to pick up a young d-man with potential

value is very far off. If Colin White puts up a 20-25 goal season this year, then maybe, but I still don't think it's enough. Pesce is legit, and on a very nice deal.

This team looks so sad. As a pirates fan, you think I would be used to seeing teams like this, but I actually feel bad for ottawa.

I agree, but the Canes still have Slavin, Hamilton, Faulk, and Fleury. They also have Bean coming up in the next few years. At center however they are lacking, Rask just got injured and will be out for months, so their first line center is Jordan Stall. White won't put up 20 goals this year, but he has that potential in the next few years to become that player. Along with Necas, this would bolster their middle, and Balcers is coming off a 23 goal 48 point rookie season in the AHL displaying plenty of scoring potential. Do you feel like a different center prospect like Batherson or Brown would be better? Personally the way I see it they are slightly less NHL ready than White.

I don't think an abundance of good d men is reason to make a bad trade, do you?

The Carolina guys are going to roast you if they see this post. They think that Pesce = Duchene. Personally, I think you'd need to add a first-round pick to get him with those two prospects (and maybe a RW).

I think with an abundance of d-men you can afford to trade one of them to improve your team and satisfy another need. I highlighed that they are in need of centermen, especially in the Metro where their divisional rivals feature the likes of Crosby, Malkin, Barzal, Backstrom, Hisher, and Kuzneztov. Jordan Stall is not exactly a favourable matchup. I had asked you if you could think of a way of improving upon the value using different prospects, and you completely ignored that. Someone else had mentioned Duchene, and I would actually consider that especially if he won't re-sign. It's simple Ottawa needs D-men, Canes need Centerman, Canes can afford to trade D-men, Ottawa can afford to trade Centermen. Thanks for your time.

I don't know if a first rounder would really work for the sens, but honestly I think they would heavily consider Duchene especially if he won't re-sign. If they were to trade Duchene though I'd prefer Slavin over Pesce.

ya, but there are 29 teams in the league other than Ottawa and Carolina. One will give up a better center with better term for Pesce. Ryan Nugent Hopkins would make sense.

Yeah, to you and me and every other rational person, but the last couple of times Nugent-Hopkins for Pesce was proposed, the Carolina guys howled that Pesce is worth more than RNH, that RNH is a #3 center and what Carolina needs is a #1, etc., etc., etc.

And I understand that, but they're just wrong and haven't watched him play lately. Two things that won't happen: 1. Pesce being enough to get someone a legit, number one center. 2. Duchene being enough to get Pesce
