I like almost all of it except resigning Thompson to a 2 year. He will be 34 next season and we have enough slow guys in their 30's. I would bring in JAD. He is having an amazing training camp and some say he is almost ready for this season, but will probably play one more year in Spokane.

I don't like the trading of Carter, a top 2nd line center, and have no one to step in and replace his production. Kempe isn't there yet, Valardi might not be able to play a full season with his back issues. You are now a one line team that is easy to stop.

Yeah, it would depend on Kempe, but who else would you trade?

Yeah, JAD was a huge draft steal.

That's the big question. You have older players who are still in their prime but have larger contracts. The kids are not ready yet to step up and take over their spots. I see one more year before we will have an idea on who can replace who in this lineup.
